Series in this record group include: Administration, Alphabetical, Photographs, Scrapbooks, Financial, and Miscellaneous. The Administration series contains annual reports, board of trustees minutes and resolutions, files of William J. Norton, executive vice president and secretary including in part reports of field visits and memoranda received from the Child Health Division. The Administration series also includes reports, correspondence and other records of the Fund's subunits, the Research. Laboratory, the Child Health Division and the Child Guidance Division. The Alphabetical series details the Fund's relationship with organizations receiving grants. File headings with substantial materials include the Michigan State Emergency Relief Administration, Detroit's Interracial Committee, the University of Michigan, the United Community Services of Metropolitan Detroit, and Children's Hospital of Michigan. The record group includes files of correspondence and other papers of John Dorsey. James J. Couzens, Kenneth Gibson, Maud Watson, Marion E. Kenworthy, and B.W. Carey. The record group documents support of children's health and recreational programs in Michigan during the depression, World War II, and the post-war period.
